Block Party

What is Block Party? It’s the new name for Friendship Block.

It’s a quilt block pattern selected by a guild member whose name has been chosen by lottery. She has made copies of the directions, and perhaps included a piece of “focus” fabric for you to use. You get a copy of the directions, then sew the block, and return it to the recipient.

When you complete and return the block, you get “credit” for it. Do that again for another member, and you become eligible to have your name drawn as a recipient! Block Party drawings are held twice yearly, in April and September. Be sure to look for the Block Party table at the next guild meeting, pick one up, and start sewing. It’s fun and easy.

Our recipient right now is Cece Blankenship. Join Cece’s Block Party!
