CUDDLE QUILT, March 2022

Quilting retreats are special and everyone of them is unique. Various factors play into this uniqueness. Time of year has us scampering to the sewing room to escape cold or heat. The size of the group and familiarity of attendees are influencers. Some retreats are open-ended while others are teaching or project oriented. Location and even external events are also factors.

Memories of the last retreat are still bouncing around in my head-probably because it stood out in the unique category.

The quilters had quite a range of age and employment, although some of us are retired but still somewhat defined by our previous jobs. Almost all were in service or
helping capacities. Maybe that's why the connections started. During our days and
nights together, it was common to see total strangers sitting down together making
these connections...and they grew tighter as the time progressed and beautiful quilts were worked on and some completed. Plans were made and contact information was exchanged as these connections grew. And quilting was the glue as it always is and we come away with new quilt projects, new tools, and best of all, new friends.

Cuddle would like to again thank all the quilters who took time from retreating to work on our projects.
