Programs & Workshops

It has been quite a year for the Programs & Workshops team! We've had some great guest speakers come and inspire us with their artistry, and help us learn new techniques in our workshops.  Our speakers this year have included artists utilizing a wide variety of styles including Trudy Clevland, Anne Turley, Tara Ritacco, Yvonne Phenicie, Susan Nash, Sheila Collins & our own amazing guildmates presenting their best tips and tricks at our mini workshops event. 

We are delighted to present Linda Schmidt of Short Attention Span Quilting at our November guild meeting. We will be treated to an amazing trunk show highlighting Linda's vast talents and interest in blending traditional quilting with modern fiberwork and materials and even her wearable art. She will teach her "Life's A Beach" workshop the following day at QIAD. Hopefully you all had a chance to see the samples in person at our September and October meetings! These beach scenes are really layered with fabric and elements to bring them to life. You won't want to miss her presentation!

In December, we won't hold our typical guild meeting. Instead, we will be getting together to celebrate the holidays.  Our 2023 list of speakers and workshops is growing daily, and will include Jan Krentz (known for her Lonestar quilts and techniques), David Owen Hastings (Maximizing Modern Minimal Design), our very own Karen Brow-Meier (The Magic of Movement in Quilts), Candyce Grisham (Dresden Reimagined) and many others! Cheers to all of you amazing quilters...and here's to expanding our techniques and knowledge in 2023!
