Ann is a quilter and fiber artist that lives right here in San Diego! Ann is wildly creative and loves to create original works with little twists of humor and whimsy. Join Ann as she demonstrates her approach to creating the illusion of curves with simple overlays in her version of a stained glass style wall hanging. You’ll be amazed at the fun you’ll have creating this piece, and you will walk away with the confidence that you can apply her techniques into your own work! Lecture: Family History Quilts
Workshop: Photo Transfer Class
Anne lives in Walnut, CA (in Los Angeles). Her love for preserving family history in quilts is evident, but her approach is very unique. Anne honors traditional quilting, but frequently incorporates more modern sensibilities into her pieces. Just think of the magic that happens when you blend traditional techniques with the best of current technology! It is time to shake up your quilting and include a new technique! In this workshop, Anne will demonstrate how she likes to include photos into her quilts. Participants will walk away knowing how easy it is to incorporate photos into your quilting projects, and lots of tips and tricks for highlighting your family’s story or traditions!
