Quilts that look complicated but are actually easy to construct are an important part of Glenda’s design focus. Although she has been avidly quilting for many years, she started out as a teenager making very simple quilts with scraps, scissors and cardboard templates.  Remembering those humble roots, she has a passion for helping beginning quilters to confidently finish designs that also appeal to more experienced makers. 

Glenda is a frequent contributor to American Quilter Magazine from the American Quilt Society and to Make Modern Magazine, a digital publication from Australia. She is also a regular participant in the National Quilt Museum’s biennial challenge “New Quilts From An Old Favorite” with her most recent entry “Celebration” on display March 6 – July 28, 2026

She has previously worked with Hoffman California Fabrics and Jaftex to design patterns for specific fabric lines and is now working primarily with Riley Blake Designs and QT Fabrics.  Several customer-favorite patterns have been re-imagined with fresh new fabrics and there are a number of brand-new designs launching in collaboration with these companies in the coming year.
