DON'T DO IT FOR THE GUILD

You may feel like we often ask for members to participate, volunteer or "do stuff."  It's true.  Guilds require workers to run smoothly, and make everything happen.

But joining a friendship circle is something you do for YOU- not the guild!

Gathering with and meeting new guild members is not for the guild itself, but for the people who participate. And making quilting friends is the perfect antidote to our post-pandemic world with some of us (who are really fun, talented and interesting quilters!) possibly living with new levels of loneliness or maybe a lack of purpose.

What an unnecessary waste! And so not fun!

Ask me about friendship circles with your interests forming through the guild.  No commitments are required to visit a group and not all groups require that you are able to host. But  if you give it a try, you just might find some new best quilting friends, improve your skills and yes, have a bunch of that fun so well-known to quilters.

We have openings in the following groups which are currently going:

 - Machine quilting (Meeting Wednesdays at Rena Hernandez's San Marcos studio)

- Bag sewing (Meeting the third Thursdays at the San Marcos JoAnn's store)

- Sit 'N Sew (Meeting the Monday after our guild meeting at QUID San Marcos)

- Collage group (Meets with the Sit 'N Sew group above)

We also have member interest in forming groups around:

 - Modern quilting

- Art quilts

The Friendship Circles table is located at the back of the room during monthly meetings. If you're forming a group or looking for more group members, stop by or send me an email. I'm happy to assist. (And new groups please keep me posted on your progress.)
