Flags of Freedom Challenge Winners
What an amazing display of Red, White and Blue at our July meeting.
Not only did you participate in our patriotic Lucky Block in record numbers but you created some amazing entries for our Flags of Freedom challenge.
Don’t forget that if you would like to donate your completed quilt to be auctioned in support of local military and veteran’s groups, please contact Susan at
Special congratulations go to the following winners:
Claudia McGraw won our drawing in the “mini” category for her patriotic tote bag, cleverly adding her required flag block as a cell phone pocket on the side of her bag.
Nancy Ganske won in the “just-the-top” category and has donated her quilt top for the auction. Would anyone like to finish it up for us? Just let me know.
Janet Gordon was the winner of the drawing for the “Quilt” category with her entry entitled “Cherish the Flag”. Janet actually used FOUR of the required blocks and has donated her quilt to Cuddle for the philanthropic donations.
And finally, our Viewer’s Choice winner was Patti Rusk with her whimsical and colorful quilt entitled “Oh, Scrap!”
Thanks again to all of you for participating in our Challenges this year.
Please read through the newsletter for information about our upcoming challenge which will begin at the August meeting. Be sure to stop by the Challenge Table to buy your piece of “Floral Focus Fabric” so you can get in on the FUN!
